We headed out bright and early for the wedding on Sunday morning. It was about 3 hours away but we had a few stops planned so it took us about 5 hours in travel time. One of our stops was to Salvation Mountain, you can read about that here.
We saw some of the gorgeous California desert, we don’t often visit this area so it was fun to see something different.
Zeke loved his car ride toys! I’ll post more of what I packed for all of our travels in an upcoming post.
We saw the Salton Sea! I’d never been to the Salton Sea before, but it’s a place I’d heard about and always wanted to see. It’s a bit far from our usual activities but happened to be on our way to the wedding so it was a perfect time to visit.
And then we saw the most exciting thing Zeke could imagine! A TRAIN hauling BULLDOZERS, and other large equipment!! He was so excited! So many of his favorite things in one exciting, moving place!!
We checked in to the hotel, changed and got to the wedding right on time!
Silly putty was Zeke’s favorite toy during this trip! I used to love this stuff as a kid so I picked it up one day for nostalgic purposes. I was so excited that Zeke loved playing with it so much! It entertained him for most of the car trips to and from the wedding and a lot of the plane ride! Seriously, I never would have guessed that Silly Putty would have been the toy he enjoyed for so many hours!
Remi slept through the wedding!! Woohoo! We didn’t have to worry about leaving the ceremony with a crying baby!
After the wedding we enjoyed a fun reception at a nearby golf course.
Zeke found some golf balls and practiced with the other kids while we waited for the pictures to be completed. Every time he threw the ball in the hole he cheered for himself! It was so cute!
